Managing the Menopause through Self Compassion and Mindfulness

Are You Hot Stuff?

March 11th 18th and 25th Unitarian Church Bridport 10am – 2pm cost: £120

Calling all women of a certain age: – are you going through what is euphemistically called ‘the change’?? Are you fed up with the contradicting confusing conflicting information you are given about menopause symptoms and treatments? Are you struggling with Hot Flushes, and other strange ailments which appear suddenly when our hormones once again create havoc with our lives, our sense of self and image of our future selves?
Karen has put together a workshop ‘pour les femmes d’une certaine age’, who wish to share and take a mindfulness approach to this new phase of life. The focus will be on information sharing, and facilitated via the mechanism of Mindful Self Compassion. The menopause can be a time of loss – of youth, vitality, empty nests, but equally can be a time of opportunity to embrace a new mode of being, of self discovery and re-minding ourselves of who we are and proactively choosing the next path to joy!

If you are interested in this voyage of discovery and you are peri menopausal or menopausal (actually not a word I particularly embrace – perhaps we can come up with a new one!), then please contact me for further information.

Over 3 Saturdays we can explore and celebrate what it is to be a ‘woman of a certain age’.

Extending Practice

After finishing an 8–week course many people like to deepen their practice, bring greater clarity and awareness to their lives, building on what they have learned through monthly practice support groups.

Drop-Ins and Taster Seminars

Not sure if mindfulness is for you? Come along to a drop-in session, no experience necessary, or book a taster seminar at your organisation. You will learn how mindfulness can work and have a taste of some practices.
